Our History

Founded in 1940, Durban Funeral Services began as a small, dedicated family practice built on respect, craftsmanship, and service to the community. Over the decades, DFS has grown into a leading funeral provider in KwaZulu-Natal, known especially for its reverence in Catholic funerals and its deep commitment to preserving dignity in every detail.

The current owner, Arun Chetty, trained under his father from a young age — learning not only the technical skill of funeral preparation but the emotional and spiritual responsibility of caring for families in their most difficult moments.
